Crestron sends and receives DMX512
The protocol converter CGDMX-512BI offers an interface (gateway) between a Crestron Media Processor (e.g. MP2E, CP2E, ...) and the DMX512 lighting control protocol. The CGDMX is fully programmable via a Crestron Media Processors XSIG commands and enables free access to all 512 DMX channels from DMX In and to DMX Out. (read, write, merge-HTP and merge-LTP). The new version includes also an DMX512 Retimer to adjust the transmitted DMX-speed to the value some DMX512 equipment needs.

The converter is linked to the Crestron media processors COM port via a standard 9-pin D-SUB connector. The interface between Crestron and CGDMX can be switched from RS232 to RS422.
The transfer rate is preset to 38800 baud and is selectabel up to 115200 baud.
