RETIMER DMX512

Adjustable DMX Timing

The RETIMER DMX512 is used for the adaptation of an DMX512 interface working with at most permitted speed to slower DMX512 receivers. Swaying DMX512 signals are stabilized also in the transmission rate.
The delay times for InterSlot as well as for InterPacket time can be adjusted decimally in 10 steps.
The DMX512 protocol (exact DMX512-1990 and DMX512 A) provides a maximum data transfer rate of 44 frames per second (see DIN 56930-2 item 4.4.1.) at a minimal time between the bytes (Slots) as well as between all of the packages (Frames) of 0 s .
The same is valid for the American National standard E1.11 2004/8.11 table 6 & 7 .
According to the norms mentioned above the following times apply to the receiver:
Break 88µs, MAB 8µs, between Slots (Bytes) 0s, between frames (Packets) 0s and a minimum time of 1196µs between two following breaks.

The System IO is for special options.

Explanation to the Timingdiagram

Inter-Packet time: Time between two packets (frames), adjustable from 1 to 60ms in 10 steps
Slot (44µs): includes 1 Startbit, 1 Databyte (8Bit), 2 Stopbits
Inter-Slot time: Time between two databytes, adjustable from 4 to 76µs in 10 steps
